London is a home to districts and areas which have completely developed themselves into shopping hubs comprising numerous fashionable and eccentric shops that you wouldn't find in any other part of the world. When I visited the city closer to Christmas last year, I went for luxury shopping and got to explore major shopping areas like Bond Street that is home to the brands renowned worldwide. The historic street is often billed as a city's hub for the elite shopping and provides an extensive choice of exclusive fashion boutiques. Within spitting distance, Knightsbridge receives a sizeable number of visits for being a home to a Harvey Nichols; the exceptionally sophisticated department store. You'll get to walk into Harrods too.
Those aiming to buy something typically British mustn't miss to check out Fortnum&Mason store. It's primarily renowned for offering over two hundred varieties of tea and supplies to the Royal Family too. Also, for shoppers anticipating trendy shopping in London - Oxford Street and Carnaby Street are perfect places to break into; the former features 300 plus shops and the latter being popular as a meeting place of famous artists. Round the corner is Regents' Street that brings almost everything classy and trendy one may think of. Whilst in London, don't forget to checkout Camden Town for the purchase of 2nd hand items and Portobello for antiques.
I, being a visitor of the city of London when heavy snow had jammed a common man's life, also got a chance to explore and experience online shopping too. Showing tons of online outlets of renowned brands, internet is the place that offers more chances to find conceivable items than high-street shopping. John Lewis is one of those! I liked John Lewis Sales the best, for amazing discount rates for a huge assortment of consumer items. If, for any reason, you can't go out for shopping - look through John Lewis sales; the place has everything to keep you covered!
